How do I know if I’m healing?

 

️‍🩹 I am beginning to feel my emotions.

️‍🩹 I stop reacting less and start reflecting more.

️‍🩹 I reach out and ask for help from others.

️‍🩹 I’m able to speak up without worrying.

️‍🩹 I don’t automatically second guess myself or ruminate.

️‍🩹 I begin to understand my triggers, vulnerabilities, and stressors.

️‍🩹 I start grieving for what I’ve lost.

 

How do I know when it’s time for professional help?

 

🩹 I am having trouble functioning at home or work.

🩹 I am suffering from severe fear, anxiety, or depression.

🩹 I am unable to form close, satisfying relationships.

🩹 I am experiencing terrifying memories, nightmares, or flashbacks.

🩹 I am avoiding more and more anything that reminds me of the trauma.

🩹 I am emotionally numb and disconnected from others.

🩹 I use alcohol or drugs to feel better.
