It’s easy to undervalue the significance of small beginnings. We’ve all felt the weight of too many options, priorities and initiatives. In fear of making a wrong decision, we don’t make any decision. Small beginnings often come with hard work and little help. They’re usually met with resistance and little encouragement. Small beginnings typically have limited options and ample setbacks.
Begin anyway. Find the courage. Take the step, even if it’s the wrong step. Whatever made you take that first step is there as a reminder that you saw what could be. Sticking it out despite the inconvenience is what gets you there. It’s oftentimes difficult to remember when you are gasping for air. But you have to start somewhere. Everyone starts somewhere. You have to begin. You have to start at zero. Baby steps if you must, but take the step.
