Do you trust yourself?

Do you have trouble making big decisions for yourself, by yourself? How many times do you sit on the fence when you need to make a decision? You feel uncertain and fearful to make a choice for fear of making the wrong choice, that you either make no decision at all, or you ask others for guidance.

We are so used to looking outside ourselves for answers, perhaps we have forgotten we are fully capable of making decisions for ourselves! When we trust ourselves, we get to keep our power. When we look to others for the right answer, it becomes very easy to play the “victim role”, then blame that person for the circumstances when things fall apart. At our core, we know what is best for us. Learning to trust ourselves is the challenge.

Tell me your story.

  1. Wilma,

I have trouble making any decision and it drives me into a deep depression. That fear of making the wrong decision keeps me from making any decision

Yes, you are not alone. Many times we try to make everyone else happy for so long that we lose our voice. We forget how to make decisions that suit us or we are so fearful of others’ disapproval that we don’t do what truly makes us happy. Many times we don’t know what makes us happy.

  2. Pearl,

I have a problem making big decisions especially if there are other people involved, I tend to try and do what’s best for everyone but end up hurting myself and my loved ones. It’s very depressing.
