Learning to stand on your own two feet prepares you for times in life when you have no other choice. When you learn self-sufficiency, you also learn self-resilience. This means you are able to bounce back from problems, stress and heartbreak more readily than those who depend too much on others.
If you want to truly be free, you have to cut the strings of dependency that control you. You are capable of handling life effectively and successfully. Rather than letting other people, things, or events decide what you should do, be or have, you need to be able to navigate your life in the direction you want it to go.
When you have a healthy self-confidence, you are more likely to enter relationships for the right reasons. You are less likely to “settle” due to the fear of being unable to manage on your own.
This is not to say that you should never ever ask for help, but you must develop the ability and courage to listen and act by and for yourself and follow your own intuition. For it’s these people that have the strongest wings.
